Production History

A permanent record of every batch you've made.

Every time you tap Mark as Produced in Make Gelato, the run is written here. Use Production History to look back at what you made, when, how much it cost, how the panel rated it, and to spin the most successful batches into new recipe variants.

Open it from: Recipe Details › Production History, or from the Statistics window.

The batch list

Batches are sorted by date, newest first. Each row shows:

If a recipe has no production history yet, you'll see an empty state ("There is no production history for this recipe.") with a hint to use Make Gelato to log your first batch.

Batch detail

Tap the eye button on any row to see the full batch:

Rate after tasting, not before Wait until the batch comes out of the cabinet and you've tasted it (and your team has tasted it) before you rate. A four- or five-star batch is the one you want the Auto-balance engine to use as a reference, and what Statistics uses to surface your best performers.

Create a new recipe from a batch

Found a great run? Open the batch detail and use Create Recipe from Batch. Gelato Maestro saves the captured ratios as a new recipe in your library. From there you can rename it, fine-tune it, or use it as a baseline for further experimentation — without touching the original recipe.

Use this to lock down a "winning" variant After a few iterations on a recipe, the version that actually shipped to a tasting panel may differ slightly from the saved recipe (you tweaked it mid-batch). Turning that batch into a recipe captures exactly what worked.

Clear history

The Clear All button in the toolbar deletes every batch for the current recipe after a confirmation. It does not delete the recipe itself, but it is irreversible.

Clearing history can't be undone Production batches are not stored anywhere else. If you've enabled iCloud sync, the clear propagates to your other devices on the next sync.
